BOUNTIFUL
- Our dearest and beloved husband and father, Brent King
Bryson, returned to the loving arms of our Heavenly Father
on Wednesday, August 4, 2004.
He passed away at Lakeview Hospital after fighting
heroically for his life, as great measures were taken to
assist him after complications following surgery. He is
finally free from years of chronic pain and suffering.
Born August 25, 1948 at St. Mark's Hospital to Glenn
Holbrook Bryson and Ellen King Bryson. Married his
sweetheart Karen Crump in the Salt Lake LDS Temple for
Time and all Eternity on December 16, 1971.
Brent's primary focus in life was his family. He was a
dedicated family man who will be missed dearly.
Brent was a spiritual giant and faithful member of The
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a
mission in the beautiful country of Sweden for 2 ½ years.
He loved the people of Sweden, always holding them dear to
his heart. He served as a counselor in the Bishopric,
Executive Secretary, counselor in the High Priest Group,
Sunday School President and teacher, Scout leader, and
Priest Advisor. He was a true Christ like example in word
and deed. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to
give of his time, talents, and material blessings to those
in need.
There wasn't anything he didn't know how to do or fix.
Everything he did was done to perfection. He loved working
with his hands. He was a great mechanic. In his early
years, he enjoyed racing cars and later bought and
completely restored his dream car - a '65 Mustang. Brent
currently served as President and CEO of Bryson Sales and
Service, Inc. distributing Blue Bird School and Transit
Buses. Bryson's Sales and Service is a family owned
business and has been for 35 years. Bryson's received Blue
Bird's highest recognitions; The Presidential, Service,
and Quota Buster Awards every year. Brent was inducted
with his father and brother into Blue Bird's All American
Hall of Fame in 1985. Brent worked energetically and
diligently, as he devoted immense time to building this
successful business. Brent not only loved his customers
and associates, but counted them as friends. We will
always salute one of his yellow school buses when we see
one go by.
Another of his passions was carpentry work. He taught
woodshop for one year at Butler Junior High. His touch
graces the family home with cabinetry and furnishings. His
home and yard were arts of perfection. In his last few
years, he found great joy, talent, and passion for
hybridizing daylilies. He leaves behind the lilies of his
field - a legacy for generations to come.
Survived by his wife, Karen; daughters,
Sharie Ann and
Melanie; son,
Jared Brent; parents, Glenn and Ellen Bryson; brother,

The family wishes to express their love and deepest
gratitude for the staff, nurses, and doctors of Lakeview
Hospital who cared for us and our Dear Little Daddy and
husband over the last month. A special thanks to our
doctor and friend, Kevin Clark, who fought with him to the
end.
You were a gentle giant, but if
lightening and thunder were any indication of your entry
to the other side–it must have been something spectacular!
We love you and will miss you everyday.
"The Lord watch between me and thee while we are absent
from one another."
